Welcome to our Realm

Good things come in fours, just like the elements that guide our current collection: water, earth, fire, and air. But in the world of Parudeesa, four is more than a number, it is a sacred belief. Inspired by the ancient Indo-Persian Chaharbagh: the four-part garden is believed to mirror paradise. At the heart of these gardens was a fountain, a source of energy and renewal. It is the luminous centre from which everything flows. Each element holds a realm of its own - layered with meaning, memory, and scent. Symbols drawn from Indo-Persian myths are etched into every world, serving as keys to their hidden truths. These sacred emblems help transport you, unlocking each realm through story, spirit, and sensory ritual. With fragrances once reserved for gods and royalty, and verses whispering ancient poetry, every quadrant becomes a portal. Enter the garden. Choose your element. Let the symbols guide your journey into the Realm of the Senses.

“The wonders of the earth were woven from nothing.”

“Light up the fire of love, and blaze all doubts away.”

“Be supple of mind. Flow through life like a stream.”

"Live life lightly. Let your burdens be taken by the breeze."

“Sink roots like a tree and renew your leaves every spring.”

Our inspiration

The timeless art of attars

Attars are highly concentrated natural perfume oils derived from plants and other natural sources, originating from ancient Persian perfumery techniques. These precious essences are meticulously distilled from flowers, herbs, spices, and bark through traditional steam distillation methods and historically presented in small, decorated or jeweled decanters. Tiny but with big personalities.

These extraordinary oils transcend mere fragrance; they embody a rich sensory tradition deeply intertwined with spirituality, medicine, and social customs. In the opulent Mughal courts of India, attars symbolised luxury, healing, and emotional expression. Whilst modern perfume wearers might spritz themselves before a date, Mughal courtiers were the original fragrance influencers, turning heads with their custom blends centuries before Instagram existed.

Skilled craftsmen would carefully extract these concentrated essences to create complex scents that served multiple purposes: offerings to deities, medicinal treatments, personal adornment, and markers of social status. One whiff could signal "royal nobility" or "I'm feeling under the weather but still fabulous".

Long before the Western world embraced the concept of unisex fragrances, allowing men to wear florals and women to enjoy woody scents, Indo-Persian culture had already established a tradition of non-gendered fragrance. They were breaking fragrance barriers while the rest of the world was still figuring out indoor plumbing.

Parudeesa fragrances draw inspiration from these traditional attars. By partnering with the best fragrance house in Grasse, we have individually crafted each fragrance to ignite the senses and transport you to another realm.

Trinket boxes

Trinket boxes have a rich history in Indo-Persian culture. They were the original flex - symbols of wealth and status crafted from precious materials like ivory, gold, silver, and inlaid wood. They served as the original junk drawer, but “make it fancy”, storing valuable items like jewelry, precious stones, manuscripts, and attars.

These beautiful containers were often used to store family heirlooms, gifted to friends (because nothing says BFF like a bejewelled box), or even buried with the deceased for their journey to the afterlife. These boxes weren't just containers, they were blank canvases. Indo-Persian artists turned functional storage into magnificent works of art.

More than just looking good, these trinket boxes embodied the rich cultural, religious, and artistic heritage of Indo-Persia.

Our reusable packaging is inspired by the tradition of trinket boxes. The decorated bamboo boxes have been designed as a modern nod to Indo-Persian art. Versatile bamboo keeps your products fresh but can also house your treasures and trinkets.
